Cycle back in time on a bike tour through the Czech Republic and Austria. Perhaps no other country conveys the essence of Old Europe like the Czech Republic. And there’s no more elegant city in Europe than Vienna. Now imagine bicycling from Prague to Vienna, through a stunningly beautiful countryside peppered with timeless medieval villages and fairytale castles that propel you into another time. Along the way, we’ll pause to admire a rich tapestry of cultural treasures and natural wonders including the Lednice-Valtice cultural landscape and Palava Hill’s Biosphere Reservation, both protected by UNESCO. Bike the once-forbidden Iron Curtain Road, and en route to Vienna, cycle one of the region’s most beautiful byways - the vineyard-lined Veltliner -into Austria’s famed wine capital of Poysdorf. On our pastoral bike tour route, there’ll be no shortage of hidden wine cellars so we can taste the region’s renowned vintages and honey-flavored mead … and no shortage of pampering at our luxury hotels and spa resorts.
